The Sensitive Companion
Sting-Free Sensitive is free from essential oils as well as fragrances, colourings, flavourings and preservatives in order to minimise the risk of contact allergies. It was developed for allergy sufferers, people with fragrance sensitivity, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and young children from 6 months. It provides reliable protection against bites without burdening the skin with typical triggers of allergic reactions.
Performance and Areas of Use
The protection is based on the active ingredient icaridin (approx. 9.8%). It works for up to 6 hours and not only protects against mosquitoes, but also reliably keeps horseflies and ticks away. The spray is designed for native mosquitoes, ticks and horseflies and is therefore positioned for the local climate zone, not for tropical travel.
Thanks to its very faint, barely perceptible scent, it is particularly suitable for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, gardening or hunting.
For situations with an increased risk of ticks, Ballistol also offers a special tick spray that works for longer and more intensively. However, it contains ingredients such as limonene, which can trigger allergic reactions in sensitive skin. For sensitive skin types, Sting-Free Sensitive is therefore the right choice.
Benefits for Users
Developed for sensitive skin. The formula completely avoids essential and animal oils as well as fragrances, colourings, flavourings and preservatives. Essential oils in particular are considered a common cause of allergic reactions. The pH value of 6 is matched to the slightly acidic pH value of the skin.
Icaridin instead of DEET
Sting-Free Sensitive deliberately relies on icaridin and does without DEET. Icaridin has no intrusive chemical odour. DEET, on the other hand, can cause skin reactions such as redness or blistering on sensitive skin or with frequent use. The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends icaridin as a safe and effective mosquito protection.
For pregnancy, breastfeeding and young children
Icaridin can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Young children from 6 months of age can also be protected with Ballistol Sting-Free Sensitive. The product is not suitable for babies under 6 months.
Pleasant to Use
The ingredients do not feel sticky on the skin. The spray leaves no stains on clothing and other textiles. The protection lasts for up to 6 hours.

Directions for use:
Spray Sting-Free evenly onto exposed skin (including areas covered only by thin clothing). For use on the face, spray Sting-Free onto the palms of your hands and spread over the face. Avoid the eye area. Children should be assisted by an adult.
