Robla Solo MIL effectively dissolves these deposits – including stubborn lead residue typical of shotguns and air guns, as well as molybdenum disulfide coatings (MoS₂) that build up in the barrel from modern bullet coatings.
The ammonia-based active ingredient combination specifically attacks non-ferrous metals while remaining completely neutral toward steel, nickel, and chrome. The barrel is cleaned without attacking the base material.

Application

For metal deposits, pour Robla Solo MIL into the barrel, sealed on one end with a cork or rubber stopper (recommended: Ballistol rubber stopper), and let it act for several hours – ideally overnight for extreme fouling. Always fill the barrel to the brim. For lighter fouling, repeatedly running Robla Solo MIL through the barrel (e.g., using Ballistol felt pads, tow, or a cleaning cord) is sufficient.
Never leave the barrel sitting for an extended period if it is only dampened with Robla Solo MIL. Otherwise, the contained ammonia will evaporate, and the remaining water in combination with organic salts can cause pitting corrosion. A barrel completely filled with Robla Solo MIL can safely be stored overnight.

A green to blue color indicates dissolved copper and tombac; lead and zinc dissolve without discoloration.

Afterward, run a dry patch through the barrel several times and spray with Ballistol Universal Oil, Gunex, or GunCer. After running the dry patch, the barrel must be oiled, as otherwise pitting can develop on the bore's inner surface.
