Aluminium burnishing set with aluminium burnishing for surface refinement, for new burnishing and restoration of minor damage incl. aluminium primer for preparation for burnishing.
Contents:
- Aluminium primer, 50 ml
- Aluminium burnishing, 50 ml
- Gunex special gun oil, spray 50 ml
- 2 pairs of disposable nitrile gloves
- 2 goat hair brushes
- 2 absorbent cleaning cloths
Burnishing is not a coating, but a discolouration of material through oxidation. A primer prepares the surface and ensures that the black oxidisation works optimally. This also applies to special aluminium alloys. The primer is applied before burnishing in order to achieve an optimum burnishing result. Prior sanding is not necessary, which saves an enormous amount of time.
Ballistol aluminium burnishing for surface finishing is the first aluminium black oxidation approved for end users and is therefore not exclusively suitable for commercial users. The black burnish for aluminium alloys, which is easy to apply even for non-professionals, is abrasion-resistant and durable. It is therefore ideal for repairing scratches and rubbing marks, but also for re-bluing, for example for scope mounts, handguards on semi-automatic weapons or even for complete smaller components.
- Black brushed bluing for aluminium
- Burnishes to a rich black colour
- abrasion-resistant and durable
- ideal for repairing scratches or abrasion marks
- easy to apply
- economical
Application tip: The black oxidiser is very easy to use. The only thing to remember is to degrease surfaces before burnishing. Ballistol Cold Degreaser, Ballistol Gun Parts Cleaner or Ballistol Brake and Parts Cleaner are suitable for this purpose. If necessary, the surface can also be lightly sanded. Apply the black finish evenly and leave to work for 20-30 seconds. Then dab dry and apply again. After 3-4 repetitions, rinse with water and finally preserve. Important: Do not use at temperatures below 20°C.
The burnish is very economical. Approximately 100 ml is required for one square metre.
For safe and proper application, please follow the instructions for use, which you can view and download here. Aluminium and aluminium alloys are available in many different compositions. The bluing can therefore achieve different results. You can also find an overview of the effects that aluminium burnishing can achieve in the instructions for use.
