Ballistol Fireplace & Stove Cleaner
The fireplace and stove cleaner acts as an active foam when sprayed on, targeting sooty fireplace glass and baked-on household grime. It dissolves soot, smoke tar, and charred residue on its own, without the need for scrubbing. Developed for fireplace owners and for anyone who regularly needs to remove stubborn residue from ovens, grill grates, and cookware.
Performance and Range of Use
When sprayed on, the cleaner foams up. It thoroughly removes stubborn resin buildup, smoke tar, charred and crusted residue, as well as soot, oil, nicotine, and wax – without scrubbing.
Its range of use extends well beyond fireplace glass: ovens and baking sheets, grill grates, fondue pots, woks, pots and pans, deep fryers, ceramic cooktops and hot plates, microwaves, and electric stoves. It is also suitable for cleaning plastics.

Used regularly, the cleaner makes the job easier and helps prevent stubborn buildup in the first place. The reusable pump sprayer with 360° spray function works in any position, including upside down. A 5-liter canister is available for frequent use, and a 150 ml bottle for occasional applications.

Application
Spray onto the surface; for heavy soiling, let sit for a few minutes and reapply. Then wipe off with a paper towel and rinse with clean water afterward. Wearing rubber gloves is recommended.
Suitable for all alkali-resistant surfaces. Not suitable for light metals or non-ferrous metals, nor for painted or non-stick coated surfaces.
The German magazine "selbst ist der Mann" reported on the Ballistol Fireplace & Stove Cleaner (KAMOFIX) in issue no. 3/2014: their hands-on test awarded the spray 5 out of 5 hammers:
